The banisters of the "Grand Staircase" are being installed, stained, and inspected by Miss Scartlet herself.

Miss Scarlet: "Ah say, Rhett, how much longer is this staining thing going to take?  We have a party to plan, don't you know."

Miss Scarlet: "How ever will we find enough workers to take care of this place with everyone gone off to War?"

The first set of mahogany cabinets are done.  Beautiful!  An just incredible workmanship!!!   This is just one-half of one section I inspected at the shop today.  Hmmm... I wonder if these cabinets are depreciable over 25 years?

6-8-2009

The brass plaques with names of famous physicians have been installed around the base of the skylight.  The cardboard boxes contain the leather theater seating for the big screen TV area.  Carpet goes in next week, then we'll do a full update of photos.
